Governing the use of the Wedding Hub marketplace platform — a product of Vurb Digital

Effective Date: 1 June 2025  ·  Version 1.1

1. Introduction

Welcome to Wedding Hub. These Terms and Conditions (“the Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wedding Hub platform, accessible at wedding-hub.online (the “Platform”). Wedding Hub is a product of Vurb Digital (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Ghana. Wedding Hub operates as a trading name of Vurb Digital for the purposes of this Platform.

By registering an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the Platform.

These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including:

  • Couples – individuals planning a wedding who use the Platform to discover and book vendors.
  • Vendors – businesses or individuals offering wedding-related services who list their services on the Platform.
  • Visitors – any person who browses the Platform without registering.

2. Nature of the Platform

Important:Wedding Hub is a product of Vurb Digital. Wedding Hub’s role is limited to providing the technology and tools that enable couples and vendors to connect. We are not a wedding services provider, agent, or representative of any vendor.

Wedding Hub is a marketplace platform. We facilitate connections between couples and vendors but are not a party to any contract, agreement, or transaction entered into between them.

We do not provide, perform, or guarantee any wedding services listed on the Platform. Vendors are independent third parties and are solely responsible for the services they offer and deliver.

3. Eligibility

To use the Platform you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts under Ghanaian law.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration.
  • Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Platform by us.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to access most Platform features. You agree to:

  • Provide truthful and accurate registration information.
  • Keep your login credentials confidential and not share them with any third party.
  • Notify us immediately at support@wedding-hub.online if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.

4.2 Account Types

The Platform supports two primary account types:

Couple Account

For individuals planning a wedding. Provides access to the couple workspace, checklist, budget tools, vendor discovery, and messaging.

Vendor Account

For businesses offering wedding services. Provides access to the vendor dashboard, inquiry management, booking proposals, analytics, and invoicing.

5. Vendor Listing & Approval

5.1 Submission

Vendors must complete our onboarding process, including providing accurate business information, service categories, pricing, location, and profile images. Submitted profiles are reviewed by our admin team before appearing on the public directory.

5.2 Verification (KYC)

We operate an optional but encouraged vendor verification programme. Verification is performed through automated checks via licensed third-party identity and business verification service providers. These checks may include:

  • Identity verification against the Ghana Card (National ID) database via the National Identification Authority (NIA).
  • Business registration checks via the Registrar General's Department.

Verification confirms that a vendor’s stated identity and business registration appear authentic at the time of verification. It does not constitute an endorsement of the vendor’s quality, reliability, or suitability for your needs. Wedding Hub is not liable for any acts, omissions, or failures of verified vendors.

We do not store copies of identity documents. Verification is performed by our third-party providers, who process document data under their own privacy and regulatory frameworks. We retain only the verification outcome (approved/rejected), a provider reference ID, and the verification date.

5.3 Approval & Suspension

We reserve the right to approve, reject, suspend, or permanently remove any vendor listing at our sole discretion, including but not limited to cases of:

  • Providing false or misleading information.
  • Failure to honour confirmed bookings.
  • Outstanding unpaid commission invoices.
  • Breach of these Terms or applicable Ghanaian law.

6. Bookings & Transactions

6.1 Inquiry & Proposal Process

Couples may send inquiries to vendors through the Platform. Vendors may respond with a booking proposal specifying the service date, price, payment terms, and any deposit requirements. A booking is confirmed only when a couple explicitly accepts a vendor’s proposal through the Platform.

6.2 Vendor-Couple Contracts

Upon acceptance of a booking proposal, a contract is formed directly between the couple and the vendor. Wedding Hub is not a party to this contract. Any disputes arising from the booking, including cancellations, refunds, or service failures, are to be resolved directly between the couple and vendor.

6.3 Off-Platform Circumvention

Users must not use contact information obtained through the Platform to conduct bookings outside the Platform with the intent of avoiding commissions. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where circumvention is suspected.

7. Commissions & Payments

7.1 Commission Structure

When a booking is confirmed on the Platform, Wedding Hub charges the vendor a commission based on their plan and status:

Standard Plan

8%

of agreed booking price

Featured Plan

5%

of agreed booking price

Founding Vendors

3%

first 10 bookings, then 5%

Commission is calculated automatically at the time of booking confirmation and invoiced to the vendor via the Platform. Founding vendor status is granted to the first 40 approved vendors on the Platform.

7.2 Payment

Vendors are required to pay outstanding commission invoices via the Platform’s integrated payment system (Paystack). Failure to pay commissions within a reasonable period may result in account suspension.

7.3 Featured Subscription

The Featured Plan costs GHS 199 per month, billed via Paystack. Benefits include:

  • Priority placement in search results.
  • Featured badge on your vendor profile.
  • Access to full analytics dashboard.
  • Reduced commission rate of 5% (vs 8% Standard).

Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You may cancel at any time via your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7.4 Payment Processing

All payments on the Platform are processed by Paystack, a licensed payment service provider. We do not store payment card information. Paystack’s terms and privacy policy govern payment processing.

11. Disputes Between Users

Wedding Hub does not mediate disputes between couples and vendors. If a dispute arises, we encourage both parties to attempt resolution directly and in good faith.

We may, at our sole discretion and without obligation, facilitate communication between parties in a dispute. Any such assistance does not imply liability on our part or acknowledgement that either party’s position is correct.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for breach of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@wedding-hub.online. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform ceases immediately. Outstanding obligations (such as unpaid commissions) survive termination.

13. Amendments
